Nestled among the redwoods there sits a restored, A-frame-inspired, Mid-Century Modern cabin. The exterior is the blue-green amalgam of shallow ocean waters after a storm; the interior, a rich, warm, golden wood that glows at night.
As if the creekside views, dreamy lofted bedroom and “Mad Men”-esque stand-alone fireplace weren't enough, this home also comes with private water access, a sauna and an outdoor shower.
Oh - and a 16-foot restored vintage Airstream. Its interior, fabulous lemon yellow.
If it sounds like a mouthful, it's the brainchild of a Cazadero, CA, woman who wanted to create a dreamy getaway where every day felt like a Sunday.
"Sundays mean many things to many - to indulge in doing nothing, be enveloped in another's company, to read, relax and dream," she wrote. "Imagine if every day were a Sunday."
The partially off-grid property (there's no cell service) is perched on the shores of woodsy Austin Creek. There are two bedrooms in the main house and an ample deck that opens up onto the water.
A separate wood-paneled sauna seats four people comfortably, and an outdoor shower allows for an alfresco cool-down. Nearby hammocks are the perfect place for dozing under the stars.
The ocean is about a 10-minute drive away. Wineries are also a quick trip in the car.
The home is currently available as a short-term rental.
